Research and Training
MML contributes significantly to the training of students at Makerere University in various ways that are highlighted below. More to this, the MML procured two overhead projectors that are being used by both undergraduate and post graduate students at the department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology & Molecular Biology and College at large. MML administrative staff help in coordinating the Honorary Lecturers and Professors from within Uganda (e.g. staff at MRC/UVRI) and outside of Uganda (i.e. staff from European and US partner institutions), who help in the training of Immunology and Molecular Diagnostics at the College of Health Sciences particularly on the Master’s programme in Immunology and Clinical Microbiology but also in the teaching of Immunology and Molecular Biology to undergraduates.
